We love movies. We also love watching the Academy Awards. A few years back we started a tradition: we watch all of the Oscar nominees, print off a ballot, place our votes, and watch the awards. The only section we previously have been forced to make a blind guess, year after year, is the short films. Those are really hard to come by. Except this year! We were lucky enough The Magnolia downtown was showing both the live action and animated short film nominees. So tonight we did another double feature. They were excellent, all of them. For a total of 10 animated (5 nominees + 5 bonus) and 5 live action. Our Vote-
For Live Action:
Manon Sur Le Bitume (Manon on the Asphalt) (France)
For Animated:
Le Maison en Petits Cubes (Pieces of Love, Vol. 1) (Japan)

Sounds pretty interesting? I don't think I could ever get Ken to sit and watch those. I on the other hand would love those.
How are things going? I love the pictures on your last trip, that looks like a fun place to visit. I need to get away.
