Do NOT take an intro course from your local community college. My friend Laura and I signed up for an Intro to Digital Photography class at our local cc, hoping we would get some insight on how to use our cameras. Instead of learning some much needed technical functions, we
learned re-learned plenty on how to create a file, yes create a file, how to import photos into that file, how to geo tag your photos, and on and on. It was so basic he even went into great detail on how to literally open a folder. Whheeew it was exhausting just listening to him. He did go over a little on how to frame a picture and what makes a good photo; lead lines, natural framing, division of placement.... all very interesting but still left me wondering what 2/3 of the buttons still meant on my camera. I guess we will have to self teach.
SLR For Dummies here I come.

I'm still obsessively pulling out my hair from that class! It was so awful, sorry for putting you through the torture. An online class in our PJ’s and a glass of wine sounds much more my style!

I did the SAME thing! Same, same maddening thing - just the Seattle version. Bummer!
