herb garden

Central market is amazing! If you have not been, you really need to go. It is definitely our favorite place to shop for groceries. We went today and bought some herbs to start an herb garden. Its really not a garden, its more like a small trough with a few plants in it, but space is limited. We planted basil, and two different kinds of sage. We hope to use these in some nice Italian dishes.

Hi Jill, Now that you have an herb garden you might like to try Marsha's herb butter. It's really good.
HERB BUTTER
¼ c butter, softened
2 TBSP finely minced fresh parsley
1 ½ tsp minced fresh basil
1 sm garlic clove minced
Cream butter until light and fluffy. Stir in garlic and herbs. Put in the middle of parchment paper,
roll with a scraper until it is a tube. Wrap it in tinfoil. Can be frozen. Makes ¼ cup
